How to Delete Your Homture Account Permanently

Before You Delete

Before deleting your account, consider the following:

  • All photos and videos will be erased — every photo and video you've uploaded through the app will be permanently deleted from the cloud
  • You'll be removed from all frames — any frames you've joined or manage will lose your connection; you won't be able to send or view photos on those frames
  • This cannot be undone — once deleted, there is no recovery option; you would need to create a brand new account
Download your photos first If you have photos in the app that you want to keep, make sure to save them to your phone's photo library before deleting your account. Once the account is deleted, those photos are gone.

Step-by-Step Deletion Process

Step 1: Open Account Settings

In the Homture app, go to the Account tab. Tap the settings icon (gear icon) to open your account settings.

Step 2: Find Delete Account

Scroll down in the settings menu until you see Delete account. Tap it.

Step 3: Confirm with Your Email

You'll be asked to confirm the deletion by typing in your email address. The screen will show: "Please type in your email to confirm."

Enter the email address associated with your Homture account. This step ensures you're intentionally deleting the account and not doing it by accident.

Step 4: Tap Delete Account

After entering your email, tap the Delete account button. The app will show "Deleting your account..." while the process completes.

Final warning This will permanently delete your entire account. All private data — including uploaded photos and videos — will be erased. You will be removed from any frames you have joined and will no longer receive or view photos. This action cannot be undone.

What Happens When You Delete

When your account is deleted, the following occurs:

  • All photos and videos you uploaded are permanently erased from the cloud
  • You are removed from all frames you were connected to
  • Other users who shared frames with you will no longer see your contributions
  • Your account credentials (email and password) are removed from the system
  • You will be logged out of the app automatically

If you want to use Homture again in the future, you would need to create a completely new account and re-pair any frames from scratch.

If Something Goes Wrong

In rare cases, you may see an error message: "Server error. Please try again later."

If this happens:

  • Wait a few minutes and try again
  • Check your internet connection
  • Make sure the app is updated to the latest version
  • If the error persists, contact support at support@homture.com for assistance
Server errors are temporary A server error during account deletion doesn't mean your account was partially deleted. The process is all-or-nothing — either it completes fully or it doesn't happen at all. Your data is safe until the deletion completes successfully.

Alternatives to Deletion

If you're considering deleting your account for a specific reason, there may be a better option:

Stop receiving photos Leave the frame instead of deleting your account
Start fresh Factory reset the frame and re-pair it
Take a break Simply stop using the app — your account stays inactive

Account deletion is the right choice when you're certain you no longer want any connection to the Homture service. For anything less permanent, the alternatives above may be a better fit.

If you've decided to proceed, follow the steps above carefully. Remember: once your account is deleted, there is no way to recover it or any of the data associated with it.
